Ian Mitchell
Ian has 19 years of insurance industry experience having started at a National Insurer in 2005 in a support role. He has since held numerous roles on both the insurer and broker sides of the business, ultimately finding a home within the MGA space as an Underwriter at a Specialty wholesaler in 2015. Graduating to a Team Lead position and continuing to expand his underwriting expertise which lead to a role as an Underwriting Manager with a National MGA, where he mentored and built out a successful team of underwriters within the region.
He is considered a specialist in writing Construction, Entertainment, Sports and Recreation, and hard-to-place liability. He is currently a board member on the Insurance Institute of Southwestern Ontario.
At Vailo Ian will be responsible overseeing Vailo’s growth in the Ontario region.
